
GABI NAZARENO is a visual artist and printmaker currently based in Bohol, Philippines. She earned her degree in Mass Communication from the University of the Philippines Cebu in 2011, and later completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts (Painting) at the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2017, where she received the Dominador Castañeda Award for Outstanding Thesis. In 2007, she was also honored with the President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo Award for Outstanding Achievement in Culture and the Arts.​​

Nazareno’s practice spans drawing, painting, printmaking, and video, often incorporating participatory or performative elements. Her recent works focus on anatomically inspired prints that combine traditional relief printmaking techniques with laser-cut technology. Across her body of work, she explores the complexities and politics of the mind and body, as well as themes of memory and place.​

She has actively exhibited in notable galleries across the Philippines and has mounted two solo exhibitions in Metro Manila. Her work has also been shown internationally, including in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and Taiwan.​

She previously taught Printmaking, Visual Perception and Communication, Techniques, and Philippine Arts & Culture at the University of the Philippines Cebu, the University of the Philippines Diliman, and De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, before returning to Bohol to establish her studio practice as a full-time artist.
